About the Company:

Our client is a leading health service in Queensland that provide therapeutic services to those who use drugs and alcohol. They have 6 services across QLD and provide support in the form of counselling services, outreach, group programs, prison programs and harm reduction education and awareness.

They have an opportunity for an experienced therapist and leader to join their team as the Clinical Lead in Cairns on a Full Time or Permanent Part Time (0.9 FTE) basis.

About the role:

Reporting into the Therapeutic Services Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the small service and supervise a team of 4-5 Therapists and Support Workers while also holding a clinical caseload.

You and the team will provide brief interventions and counselling to those who are suffering from mental health related challenges as a result of drug and alcohol misuse.

Duties:

• Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to the team
• Ensure counselling and therapeutic framework is in line with evidence-based practice and companies’ policies and procedures
• Conduct comprehensive drug, alcohol and mental health assessments
• Develop and implement therapeutic plans
• Contribute to a positive team culture and supportive environment

Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in a related field
• Registration with governing body, AASW, AHPRA, ACA/ QCA or PACFA
• Proven experience supporting clients with AOD and or Mental Health challenges
• Have supported clients with dual diagnosis and addiction challenges
• Ability to engage with complex members of the community

Salary:

SCHADS Level 6 – $102,000 – $107,000 + Super

• Salary Sacrifice up to $15,900
• 6 additional days paid leave
