About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health (SRN 3), you will take on a leadership role in mental health triage, acute assessment, crisis intervention, and case management. This position requires a dynamic and adaptable nurse who is confident in working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a remote hospital setting.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting mental health triage and acute assessments
- Performing risk assessments and developing safety plans
- Delivering crisis intervention and stabilisation strategies
- Providing ongoing case management and care coordination
- Supporting and mentoring other team members in best practices
- Collaborating with hospital teams and external services for seamless client care
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Experience in mental health triage, crisis response, and case management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work in remote settings
- Ability to manage complex mental health presentations
- Commitment to culturally safe care, particularly in Aboriginal communities
- Current Police Clearance, Working with Children Check & Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
