  • Psychologist Level 3: $119,610 – $129,882 (Plus 11.5% Super)
  • Psychologist Level 4: $132,115 – $138,896 (Plus 11.5% Super)

About the Roles:
We are inviting suitably qualified Clinical Psychologists to apply for two exciting opportunities within an established healthcare organization in ACT:

ROLE 1: Clinical Psychologist (Level 4) – Paediatric Gender Service
33.08 hours per week
The Paediatric Gender Service (PGS) offers interdisciplinary support for children, young people, adults, and their families navigating gender concerns or gender dysphoria in the ACT and surrounding regions. With a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, the service aims to foster positive mental health outcomes, reduce stigma, and emphasize family and peer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead psychological assessments and provide expert clinical oversight.
  • Collaborate with a passionate multidisciplinary team.
  • Drive impactful research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Shape service innovation in a supportive and vibrant environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced Clinical Psychologist with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in trauma-informed, strengths-based care.
  • Strong ability to contribute to continuous quality improvement.

ROLE 2: Clinical Psychologist (Level 3 or Level 4) – Canberra Sexual Health Centre
11.03 hours per week
Located at the Canberra Hospital campus, the Canberra Sexual Health Centre (CSHC) provides comprehensive sexual health and HIV care. This new Clinical Psychologist role focuses on delivering specialised assessments, counselling, and mental health care as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting trans and gender-diverse individuals and their families.

Psychologist Level 3

  • Provide skilled clinical assessments and interventions for individuals seeking gender care.
  • Develop client programs and collaborate with external agencies.
  • Participate in research, policy evaluation, and quality improvement activities.
  • Ideal for candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Psychologist Level 4

  • Offer expert clinical care for adolescents and adults with gender concerns.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage mental well-being for patients with sexual health conditions.
  • Contribute to service development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ideal for candidates with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA.
  • Proven experience in trauma-informed, strengths-based care.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for improving outcomes for transgender and gender-diverse individuals.
