The Opportunity
Our client is a global leader in specialist structural strengthening systems for the engineering and construction industry. They are committed to delivering exceptional outcomes and maintaining a high standard of health, safety, environment, and quality practices across their operations.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Group HSEQ Manager to join their national team and oversee HSEQ across their Australian operations.
The Role
Reporting directly to the National General Manager, the Group HSEQ Manager will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, environment, and quality systems across the business. This role is integral to ensuring the company’s compliance with industry standards and regulations while driving a culture of continuous improvement in HSEQ performance.
Responsibilities:
- Establish safety strategy/HSEQ plan
- Cultivate and maintain a positive HSEQ culture, to improve performance and minimise environmental impact
- Consult with leadership team to review, improve and develop HSEQ systems and processes
- Work with leaders to undertake incident investigations, identification of root cause and implementation effective solutions
- Coach and support the frontline leadership
- Lead the organisation to achieve national pre-qualification and DCS accreditation
Requirements:
- Broad HSEQ skill set including auditing, risk management, investigations, systems implementation
- Formal qualifications in HSE/WHS or Engineering (Bachelor Degree level preferred)
- Experience in an HSEQ leadership role within construction, engineering or heavy industry setting
- Proven ability to influence, coach and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
