The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Health & Safety Business Partner to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Australian wholesale and distribution organisation with a national footprint and a supportive and collaborative culture.
This role is ideal for an HSE professional who wants to make a tangible impact on safety culture while working closely with senior leadership and operational teams across multiple sites. There is also a clear succession path into a Head of Safety role for the right candidate.
About the Job
Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety, you will work closely with senior leadership to partner on all aspects of Health & Safety. This is a strategic, hands-on role where you will provide advisory support, develop solutions, and coach leaders.
We are looking for someone with a robust personality, confidence in their technical expertise, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders to drive a positive and proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders to embed HSE strategy across all sites
- Lead audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives
- Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Influence and engage stakeholders to drive accountability and safety culture
- Report on HSE KPIs and recommend improvements to senior leadership
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Broad HSE skillset, including auditing, training, risk management, investigation
- Proven ability to influence, coach, and engage stakeholders
- Confidence in technical expertise to advise on all HSE matters
- Strong coaching and ability to drive a positive safety culture
- Warehouse and distribution experience ideal but not essential
