Job Title: Maintenance Fitter

Location: Dandenong South

Short Summary:

Working in a food Manufacturing environment you will assist in maintaining the maintenance of a food manufacturing site. You will follow and practice safe work, attend to machinery breakdowns and preventative maintenance

About the Role :

• Food manufacturing environment
• Provide support and backup to the Maintenance Supervisor as required
• Manage breakdowns.
• Liaise with the production team.
• Understand basic machine troubleshooting across the manufacturing process
• Actively support the site to achieve a cohesive, flexible and goal focused culture
• Maintain machinery
• Strongly contribute to compliance to the asset care / preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring all work orders with the incumbent’s remit are completed on time, in full and to the required quality, safety and environmental standards
• Review maintenance schedules.
• Support training in new/updated policies/procedures.
• Ensure self, and the maintenance and asset care team are adhering to Quality & Food Safety procedures including but not limited to donning of clothing, jewelry, and PPE.

Skills & Requirements:

• Qualified Maintenance engineer/ fitter preferred
• Comfortable dealing with emergencies and calm under pressure, with the ability to ideate and implement practical solutions to time-sensitive problems.
• 10 years or more experience in maintenance
• Detail – oriented and quality focused
• Adaptable to change and quick to learn new skills
• Support training in new/updated policies/procedures
• Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal and external clients
• Experience in ERP systems (e.g., shop floor control functions) an advantage.
• Previous experience with ISO Quality Systems, HACCP and GMP environments an advantage
• A high level of commitment and passion.
