Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Salary: $50.28ph + super
Location: Perth, WA

  • 3-month contract – until July 2024
  • Supervise essential programs including street sweeping, drainage and sump cleaning and maintenance, street light inspections, street cleaning, and pavements.
  • Manage a team of 2 staff members and coordinate external contractors.

About the role and client:

As an experienced Maintenance Supervisor specialising in street maintenance and construction, you’ll play a pivotal role in orchestrating local government maintenance operations. Your responsibilities will span from overseeing contractors to leading your team with efficiency and expertise. Your primary objective will be to uphold the upkeep of vital infrastructure like roads, drains, street lights, and paved areas, ensuring strict adherence to local policies and procedures.

  • Conduct inspections of crossovers and minor private civil works to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee inspections of both private and utility works.
  • Assist in planning traffic management for construction projects.
  • Coordinate graffiti removal contractors.
  • Respond promptly to community and stakeholder queries.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must have a current Drivers Licence
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Experience in road, drainage, footpath or other civil engineering maintenance and construction works.
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to undertake estimating of works.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings
  • Prior experience within Local Government – desired
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Qualification in an engineering or construction
  • Current Work site Traffic Management certificate – desirable
  • Current First Aid Certificate – desirable
