About the Role
This role is part of a specialist mental health service supporting young people who require targeted intervention and care coordination. The service focuses on early intervention, recovery-oriented support, and improving mental health outcomes for young people experiencing complex challenges.
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide:
✔ Comprehensive mental health assessments and risk evaluations
✔ Evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to young people and their families
✔ Care planning and case coordination to ensure continuity of care
✔ Crisis support for individuals at risk, including safety planning and referrals
✔ Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including GPs, allied health professionals, and community organizations
This role requires a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting young people and their families. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team committed to delivering person-centered, trauma-informed care.
Skills & Requirements
✔ Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing
✔ Experience in youth mental health, risk assessment, and intervention planning
✔ Strong ability to engage with young people, families, and community services
✔ Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions
✔ Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) & C-class Driver’s License
