About the Roles & Client
We have multiple short-term positions for experienced Mental Health Clinicians across various units, including Acute Mental Health, Mental Health Emergency Consultation Service (MHECS), and Community Mental Health Drug & Alcohol services in Wagga Wagga. These roles, with a well-regarded healthcare provider, focus on delivering high-quality mental health services across settings, making an immediate difference in the lives of individuals in need.
Available Roles
- Acute Mental Health Unit
12-week role providing support within an acute mental health setting. You will deliver crisis support, individualized care plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. - Mental Health Emergency Consultation Service (MHECS) Clinician
12-week role with a focus on emergency mental health interventions. Requires five (5) years of mental health experience to deliver high-level consultation and support in crisis situations. - Community Mental Health – Drug & Alcohol Service (Adults)
8-12 week role, working Monday-Friday (8:30 am-5:00 pm), delivering specialized support to clients facing mental health and substance use challenges. Relevant post-grad Registered Nurses may be compensated as CNS-Grade 2; Allied Health professionals at Level 3.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management.
- Develop and implement care plans, providing individualized support to clients across acute, emergency, and community-based settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community services to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
Skills & Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in mental health (Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Allied Health Professional).
- Experience in respective mental health settings, with a focus on either acute care, emergency services, or drug & alcohol support.
- Strong crisis intervention, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
