About the Role & Client
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker (Level 1-2) for a 12-week contract within an Older Persons Mental Health Unit in Wagga Wagga. Working with a leading healthcare provider, you will play a pivotal role in supporting older adults’ mental health needs. This is a fulfilling opportunity for a social worker with aged care experience who is ready to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide therapeutic interventions, focusing on the mental health needs of older adults.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote quality of life and well-being in aged care settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, holistic care, including case management and crisis intervention as needed.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and eligibility for Level 1-2 roles.
- Previous experience in aged care or older persons’ mental health.
- Strong interpersonal, assessment, and case management skills with a client-centered approach.
