About the Role & Client
We are seeking a Practice Supervisor to provide essential supervision, training, and development across diverse programs. This role supports internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high standards of professional practice and alignment with organizational goals. As part of the Management Team, you’ll be involved in strategic planning, on-call responsibilities, and the growth of staff expertise to maintain safe, effective, and ethical practices.

The organization offers an array of services, including counselling, family support, mediation, disability services, crisis housing, and NDIS support. With a commitment to enhancing resilience and well-being, we serve communities across North Queensland from multiple locations, delivering impactful social services.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Supervision & Development
- Provide professional supervision and skill development for supervisees to enhance quality of service.
- Supervise provisionally registered psychologists (as applicable) and support ethical practice standards.
Strategic Collaboration & Training
- Work with program managers to address evolving professional practice needs.
- Develop and deliver training workshops for both internal and external stakeholders.
Organizational & Quality Leadership
- Support strategic initiatives, performance management, and quality improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and program managers to create and implement performance improvement plans.
Skills & Requirements
- Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in the social/community services sector.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic interventions for children, families, and individuals, especially in complex and high-risk situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and maintain robust relationships across multiple levels.
- High level of organizational skills, with experience in managing supervision processes.
- Current Driver Licence, Blue Card, and Disability Worker Screening or eligibility to obtain.
