About the Role
As a Remote Area Nurse (RAN) in Torres and Cape, you’ll provide comprehensive healthcare services across diverse settings, including remote communities, primary health care centres, and hospitals. Your role involves delivering high-quality clinical care, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and administering treatments. With a focus on primary healthcare, you’ll promote preventive care, manage chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies effectively. Cultural competence is vital as you respect and address the unique needs of Indigenous communities. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams ensures holistic patient care. Additionally, you’ll engage in health promotion activities to improve community well-being. Adaptability, clinical expertise, and a commitment to enhancing health outcomes define the role of RANs in Torres and Cape.

Skills & Requirements
* Completion of ALS, PLS, MEC courses
* Previous on-call and primary health experience
* Minimum 5 years acute care experience
