The Opportunity

A large, complex organisation operating across Victoria is undertaking a significant uplift in its Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) capability and is expanding its team.

Partnering exclusively with Evolve Safety & Environment, the organisation is seeking a experienced HSW professional to help design, implement and embed best-practice safety systems across a diverse and fast-moving operating environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, HSW, you will work closely with a collaborative HSW team to support increased safety activity during a period of high operational demand. The role will focus on developing and embedding policies, tools, training programs and risk management strategies addressing both physical and psychosocial health and safety risks.

You will support a large permanent workforce, along with the onboarding and mobilisation of a substantial temporary workforce across multiple and varied work environments, including operational hubs, administrative offices, production facilities, warehouses and public-facing sites. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure and real influence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support People Leaders and Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) in meeting their HSW obligations
  • Provide coaching and guidance on compliance with HSW policies, procedures and frameworks
  • Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, education and awareness initiatives
  • Lead and support workplace incident investigations and associated reporting processes
  • Maintain HSW documentation and contribute to consultation, review and continuous improvement activities

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience providing HSW leadership and professional advice across physical and psychosocial risk profiles
  • Strong capability in incident investigation, risk assessment, compliance auditing and corrective action planning
  • Experience supporting HSW committees and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Solid working knowledge of relevant OHS legislation and internal policy implementation
  • Strong planning, time management and prioritisation skills in high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Relevant qualifications in health and safety or a related discipline
