Sydney – 7 December 2020

Building Careers Australia has today announced an extensive rebrand into Evolve Talent, a brand that recognises the journey the business has been on over the last 16 years, and that reflects the focus the business has moving forward to support key Australian growth industries with talent solutions that are relevant to the ever-changing environment we live in.

Coinciding with the unveiling of the new brand, the ‘super-boutique’ specialist recruitment agency has new ownership and has also made a number of leadership hires throughout the country, rounding out a world-class leadership team that will build on the great foundation already in place and guide Evolve Talent through the next phase of growth across the Healthcare, CP&E, Resources and Technology markets nationally.

The new identity and leadership appointments are supported by a significant investment over the last six months in completely re-engineering the technology stack. The new technology has transformed and simplified the way the business engages with its clients and candidates while ensuring that its people have the latest tools to allow them to dedicate their time to helping customers rather than dealing with the unnecessary administration most recruiters find themselves bogged down with.

National coverage, local solutions

The rebrand, which embodies the company’s dedication to constantly adapting to the shifting market and, most importantly, putting people at the forefront of every decision made, solidifies the company’s reputation as an industry leader, offering a flexible approach to recruitment and unparalleled client service.

With a network of offices across the country including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, Evolve Talent offers an extensive national presence combined with a reach, scale and infrastructure to rival global companies. At the same time, local ownership allows for quick decision-making (a valuable ability when customers need partners who are agile enough to adapt to their ever-changing requirements), as well as extensive local knowledge and experience.

Key recruitment industry appointments

From day one, Evolve has delivered on the need for personalised, fast-moving recruitment solutions, and with five new appointments to the leadership team, the company is set to strengthen its reputation as a market leading specialist recruitment partner.

Business partners Chris McVean and Jamie Butterworth have taken the helm as CEO and COO respectively, and with over 40 years’ combined experience across ManpowerGroup, Skilled and Adecco, the duo have an extensive strategic, sales and executive leadership track record at scaling businesses up to profitable, sustainable growth. Rounding out the leadership team is third business partner Chris Tipper, Executive GM, who has been with the business for the last eight years and played a key role in driving the exponential growth the business has experienced, particularly across Healthcare and Resources verticals.

Additionally, the newly-created roles are supported by several other key appointments, including Roisin Burns as Director Of Healthcare, Lily Gibbs as Associate Director of Nursing, John Mills as Director of Resources, Ben Newnham as Director of Key Accounts and Sushi Patil as Associate Director of Manufacturing.

“Like many people who have worked in the big corporates, the experience garnered is invaluable and you meet some amazing people along the way and learn so much, but often the frustration lies in how slow-moving the decision process is and how many international layers the decisions have to go through before they are made, often by someone without the local lens necessary if you really want to understand and add value to your customers,” Chris McVean commented.

“The opportunity to take our experiences from the last two decades working with global brands and then apply it our own locally owned business where we can actually empower the team to make decisions that provide the best outcome for our clients, not just a group of shareholders, was an absolute no brainer. Evolve is all about backing great people to do even greater things, all the while ensuring that we stay authentic and focussed on doing the right thing for our people and delivering value to our clients. Evolve’s clients tell us they come to us as we fill the roles that the other agencies can’t fill, and when they need fast, fluid solutions to their hiring problems, we are always there for them, and candidates come to Evolve Talent because it’s a personalised experience and they know we go that extra mile to ensure they are looked after.

I truly believe that with the team we have in place and the systems we have implemented, Evolve Talent is uniquely positioned to help organisations secure the talent they need to thrive during this current economic rebound and beyond.”

About Evolve

So much has changed since our launch in 2004, but there’s one thing that’s remained constant all this time: putting people at the heart of all we do. We make this promise to every person we come into contact with, using real insights, commitment and professionalism to construct purposeful, long-term relationships with employers and candidates all over Australia. Working alongside organisations (from start-ups and SMEs to large multinationals), we are committed to performing at a higher level, and so are the candidates we place. We get the foundations right today, so employers and candidates can get on with building the extraordinary businesses of tomorrow.
